If You Sailed on the Mayflower in 1620 : $6

I bought this book for 4 year old Mackenzie this summer when she began to grow fascinated with tales of the Colonial Days and the American Revolution after our summer hikes and visits to Valley Forge National Park (just 2 miles from our home). It is fantastic. Certainly, I'm a bit of a nerd and history buff and Kenzie seems to show a keen interest in academia and learning, but there is no denying the books from the "If You" series are fabulous. I also bought "If You Lived in Colonial Days". Other titles include If You Lived During the American Revolution, If You Traveled West in a Covered Wagon, etc. These books are very easy to quickly pick up and put down for a quick reading session before nap or bedtime as the books are broken down into simple questions and answers along with pictures. Examples include: What did you eat? What Happened when you were sick? What kind of clothes did you wear? What did your home look like? Did you have toys? These books are a super find and I highly recommend them. Classy Mommy Approved.
