My latest obsession for the past 4 weeks has been The Sookie Stackhouse novels by Charlaine Harris - the books upon which the True Blood HBO series are based. These books more than filled the void in my life left after finsihing the Twilight Series. I'd venture to say that after finishing the first 9 books in the series in less than a month that these books are even better than Twilight and they are certainly more adult. I highly encourage any Twilight fans to dig into these books! I hear the HBO series is fabulous and also slightly differnet than the books to keep all fans intrigued. Now that I'm done all the Sookie books until the next title is released in October, I'll be able to obsess over the True Blood dvd's that I pre-ordered from Amazon weeks ago in the hopes that they would arrive on the street date of May 19th. I'll be anxiously awaiting the mail! Season 2 of True Blood comes out on HBO in June - but I'll need to wait for that one to come on DVD too as my $16 cable package does not include HBO. If you like vampires, the supernatural, and a good story these books and the TV series are for you. Classy Mommy Approved.
