Hi! I'm Colleen, the founder of Classy Mommy and a stay at home mom for my daughter Mackenzie and son Kyle. I've traded in my real MBA (Cornell University '03) to the coveted Master of Baby Administration. I'm striving to make Classy Mommy an indispensable website for moms featuring fabulous products while at the same time highlighting important social issues facing women and children in the US and around the world. Wired moms command $1.7 trillion in marketing spending. If we can redirect some of these dollars to important charities our shopping can make a difference - even when we feel we don't have the money to make a donation.

In my life before Mackenzie and Kyle, I studied Anthropology as an undergrad at Cornell University and earned my MBA in Marketing from Cornell's Johnson School of Business. I've worked in Sales and Marketing for Ford Motor Company, Aventis Pharmaceuticals, Schering Plough, and Wells Fargo. But nothing compares to being a mom!

Giving Back - The Classy Mommy Cause

Plain and simple. Parents spend big bucks on their children. Research shows that in 2005 the US Retail market for Infant, Toddler and Preschooler products reached over $29 Billion dollars. The mission of Classy Mommy is to harness some of this spending and re-direct dollars to children in need in both the US and throughout the world.

Shop through our affiliate marketing partners and Classy Mommy will donate a portion of the proceeds we receive to charities for children in need. Currently, until we establish a permanent partner charity, Classy Mommy will make donations to the following incredible organization:

Project Peanut Butter: A non profit working in southeast Africa to help thousands of malnourished children annually. For only $15, Project Peanut Butter can provide a malnourished child with Ready-to-Eat therapeutic food. Efforts are focused on the nation of Malawi , one of the least developed nations in the world with per capita income of $44 per year. Malnutrition affects 70% of all children in the nation of Malawi with an estimated 13% of children dying before the age of five years old from malnutrition.
