The Nintendo Wii is not just for little boys and girls! Moms and Dads will love the Wii especially in the evenings after the kids are asleep! I was thrilled to receive the Wii as a Mother's Day surprise after meeting folks from the Nintendo team at J&J's Camp Baby. The Wii is like a brand new date night in our household. We've got the basic package which comes with all the classic sports games and one remote. I'm all over bowling - which is especially fun to do with a group of friends. And as a former tennis team player during my childhood years, I love getting in the ready position and playing tennis. We need to buy the additional remote so my husband and I can actually play tennis back and forth with each other. Can't wait for the kids to be old enough to appreciate the Wii but at 2.5 even Mackenzie is a bit young for the sports package. I'm sure we'll be exploring new games in the coming years and the Wii Fit is on my wish list after taking it for a test drive during the Nintendo reception at Camp Baby last month. | My husband bought the the iPod Touch and it is amazing. Our wired family can't get enough of the iPod Touch. Both my 3 yr old and 13 month old can even play with it - their skills are almost better than mine! (I don't even have one of my own but I'm always stealing my husband's iPod Touch to dance and listen to music with the kids or play Word Whirl!) You can watch movies, play music, play games - it does almost anything. The touch interface is simply awesome - it's indescribable.

| My 3 year old is a little crafty thing so we're always looking for new Art projects to try out as we aim to keep her creativity flying. Crescent just sent us their Powder Art kit to test out and we give it a rave review. The age is 5+ but Kenzie, 3 yrs, is artistic and totally completed her pictures alone with my set up & prep. I organized and poured her "waterless powder" and told her which color powder corresponded to each number on the picture. Basically it is like a paint by number kit, except you peel off the numbers and literally use a paintbrush and powder to complete your picture. The powder simply sticks to the picture. Each kit comes with 4 pictures for $9.99. The powder is totally washable and non-toxic. Looking at the powder, I was initially concerned it would make a mess - but seriously when we had minor spills it seemed to literally dissipate into thin air and wiped easily off our hands. We were ultra impressed with the clarity of the picture and how fun it was to watch a movie - Tinkerbell - on this mini little screen. The entire family will appreciate the Fisher-Price Kid Tough Portable DVD Player when it comes time for long road trips or anytime you need to distract the kids with entertainment - think doctors appointments or boring social gatherings that don't cater to kids. on long road trips. We decided not to "test" the durability by dropping it, but clearly this contraption - covered in rubber - is designed with kids in mind. My husband has never been so enthusiastic to assist in a product review so I assure you that little boys and their Dads will get a real thrill out of this gift! And in case siblings are hoping to spy on each other, wildlife, (or their neighbors!), no one will be able to see them wearing their goggles as they are powered by "infrared technology". Thanks to Jakks Pacific and Walmart for letting us review this little girl Cupcake Maker which is being touted as one of Walmart's 12 Toys of Christmas. A perfect gift for the girl who has it all that just might need to whip up and ice their own personal cupcake. You can imagine Kenzie had a field day with this one. At age 3, my parental supervision and direction was paramount for success. However, it is no secret to those who already know me that I apparently lack the Domestic Diva gene. My tip for all you future cupcake chefs would be to read the directions carefully unlike me! Should be very easy - add water and stir the mix, microwave cupcake mix to cook, whip up icing in a bowl, and then ice your divine treat using the Gourmet Cupcake Maker.On our first batch, I cooked the "ICING" instead of the cake mix in the microwave. The results were a disaster although Kenzie was so excited with my "cooked" icing the first time she even ate as much of this hard flat plastic type cupcake as was humanly possible. My results did not curb her enthusiasm, but she suggested Daddy try to help us with the next batch at which point I realized my idiotic mistake. Once we did it the right way, Mackenzie was delighted! And today for her 3rd Birthday, she'd prefer we'd make 24 individual cupcakes in the microwave with her cupcake kit and ice them with her Gourmet cupcake maker than do it the old fashioned way.A great stocking stuffer would be the cupcake refills for only $12. We've never seen her take to a toy or learning to read in such an immediate and excited manner.
