Welcome to the Classy Mommy Cyber Baby Shower!

Hooray! Pamela, mompreneur and founder of the adorable clothing line called Happy Panda, very generously offered to throw a Cyber Baby Shower in honor of the impending new arrival of our baby boy! (We are still in great debate on a name!) I thought it would be fantastic if proceeds from this event could also benefit Project Peanut Butter, a cause Classy Mommy supports as we donate 100% of the affiliate marketing revenue we earn, per the Classy Mommy Cause, to charities like Project Peanut Butter.

I’m thrilled to announce that the Classy Mommy Cyber Baby Shower has raised $685 for Project Peanut Butter! Thanks to the support of all the wonderful businesses that have contributed a donation as part of their gift to Classy Mommy. For every $10 raised, a malnourished child can be treated at home for nearly 3 weeks on Project Peanut Butter’s special therapeutic peanut butter paste. So thanks to everyone for helping us make a difference!

I want to send a special shout out to Neat Solutions Inc., the makers of the very necessary Table Toppers place mats that just about every Mom uses during the toddler years and a product I could NOT live without. They made a very generous $100 contribution to Project Peanut Butter!

Let’s get the party started!

GAME # 1
If you want your 1st pick of the prizes – let us know in your comment or blog party post how long the labor and delivery of your 1st baby took! The quickest labor and delivery will win!

(This time frame is near and dear to my heart as I am having incredible anxiety about how long Round # 2 will take me. I pray I make it to the hospital and realize I am in active labor. I'm sure it will be fine but I am still nervous! My daughter arrived fast and furiously. Total natural childbirth. I had hoped and planned for a natural birth - albeit I never imagined it to be without a choice! Start to finish was 4 hours. That included my water breaking at home, getting checked 1 hour later at the hospital and only being 1 cm. I went from 1-10 in less than 3 hours! I realize there is a good chance I won't realize I'm in labor until I hit transition of 7-10 cm unless my water breaks again…..)

Game # 2
If you want the 2nd pick of the prizes – Show us a picture of your Belly Bump –the "Best" Bump will win! You'll be posting this on your blog!

Game # 3
If you want the 3rd pick of the prizes, Submit a photo of your Babies Nursery. The "Best" Nursery Photo will win. You'll be posting this on your blog too!

Here is a small photo of the new baby boy's nursery. We don't really have an official theme - although I did add some fun Melissa & Doug jungle animals to liven things up a bit. My furniture is from a collection called Westwood Designs and it is a basic dark walnut color - and we have blinds to match. Our bedding, curtains, and receiving blankets all come from the Babylicious Groovy Blue line which I adore! Babylicious has the cutest and most affordable whimsical and modern bedding options for both the little girls and the little boys! The best part is that they all sell all kinds of trendy accessories to match - bibs, burps, sleep sacks, blankets, and more!

Game #4
If you want the 4th pick of the prizes, The Biggest Baby will win! This can be a comment with stats or a photo on your blog along with Stats.

Mackenzie, my 2 year old, was on the small side as she was born 4 weeks early tipping the scales
at just 6 lbs even. She is now a pretty big girl - about 85% for both height and weight! It is funny because she started out so tiny and I am on the short and petite side! I'll be anxious to see what this little boy will weigh!

Now, let's look at all of these amazing gifts! Thank you to everyone for my wonderful gifts to keep Mommy, the “baby boy” and his big Sister Mackenzie styling!

Happy Panda sent us a gorgeous custom “Panda” shower wreath full of diapers and Happy Panda goodies. T-shirts, Onesies, an Infant safe large stuffed Panda Bear holding washcloths and more! 2 year old Mackenzie finds Pandas so engaging and for some reason she has a real affinity for them! Pamela Kramer, a Mom and the founder of the Happy Panda business must be on to something with this line of clothing centered around Pandas. Pamela founded this biz after having two babies who grew so fast they never fit the standard baby sized clothing so she decided to let Happy Panda be the “Brand for Bigger Babies”. Any baby can wear these cozy cute panda clothes – the size chart is just designed for the baby plus size!
Neat Solutions Inc. Gift Basket sent us a plethora of essential goodies. Multiple packages of Table Toppers, a set of 4 Toppers to Go (on the go pre-packed sippy cup, utensils, bib, and a table topper placemat for meals on the go!), shopper toppers, changing table toppers and more!

Little Stork Delivery Bag
I’ve been packed and ready to go to the hospital since 33 weeks when the baby fully dropped and I could tell that my contractions were altering and beginning to dilate me. Obviously, “Baby Boy” is still hanging in there. I was 1 cm at 34 weeks (haven't been checked since) as of today I’m 35 weeks and 5 days. I made it to 36 weeks 2 days with my daughter – so we’ll see what happens!

Luckily, I don’t have to worry about exactly what is in my bag –as this bag even includes a camera - since Little Stork has done it all for me. Celebs love this bag – and now that I’ve got my own bag I feel like I’m getting a taste of what life is like as a celeb that has someone else prep everything for them. This glam “delivery” bag includes all of your labor and delivery and hospital stay essentials.

Classy Mommy has been a fan of MomSpit since I reviewed them last year. I’m totally excited to refill my purses and diaper bag with this shower gift. The SpitKit from MomSpit includes three 2 oz minis in fig & green tea, lemon & white tea and unscented. Inspired by the original, MomSpit no-rinse cleanser works like magic, smells like heaven and cleans like soap and water without the sink. I love being able to use this for a quick hand wash after a trip to a public restroom, before lunch at the mall, or after a Mommy&Me class at the YMCA.

Chesapeake Ribbons
This little whale grosgrain ribbon belt is preppy and cute and will be perfect to keep those pants up! Visit Chesapeake Ribbons for all kinds of handmade ribbon accessories for the entire family. They've got a Holiday Coupon going on right now - Enter code Special5 during checkout to receive $5 off your next order of $25 or more!

Diaper Cakewalk
This cake is so beautiful I don’t ever want to take it apart! Part of me wants to just keep it in the nursery for the next 6 months! If you need a baby shower gift or are hosting a shower for a friend, and were thinking of getting creative by "making" a diaper cake as a centerpiece or for a baby gift - save yourself the trouble and hours of labor. Diaper Cakewalk has adorable and VERY affordable diaper cakes - tons of designs and colors to choose from. Even castles! I'm all over this particular design - The Burts Bees Blue and Mocha 4 tier diaper cake. Includes 75 size 1-2 diapers, a cozy teddy bear, and a whole collection of Burts Bees baby care items!

Blessed Mom’s Baby Gear was founded by a Mom, inspired by her baby boy Braylon, who decided to launch a new company, “Blessed Moms’ Baby Gear” to provide all moms with unique, affordable baby products and accessories that make caring for our children easier and fun! She’s sent us this Perfect Feeder and some handy Bottle Brushes to help make my life simpler! This perfect feeder is something I’ve never seen before, it has a snap on lid and two compartments for 2 jars of baby food! I expect this to be very handy both at home and when traveling or out to eat at a restaurant!
Blessed Baby – This “Blessed Baby” onesie is both sweet and hip at the same time. Check out this collection which has Blessed Baby faith designs in onesies, bibs, blankets, and baby hats.

Cute Slings This brown and blue disco dot sling is hip, modern, and functional. I’m sure with Baby # 2 I’ll be using it all the time so my hands can stay free as I strive to keep up with both a newborn and my energetic 2 year old!

The Hipster Tots Boutique Book is the perfect gift for me --- as it is literally the scrapbook for someone like me who has no desire to make my own! Many of my friends love scrap booking, but I just can not be bothered! Hipster Tots Boutique book comes with 20 pre-designed adorable pages marking the 1st years milestones - and they ask for your babies due date - so the pages are even in chronological order. Since my due date is 12/9 - for instance, the 1st Christmas page is right near the front! 3D elements are included on many of these cool pages and you can add up to 20 additional fun pages that you can order from Hipster Tots to your book. Mostess Creations sent us this Bib and Burp Set which I know will get plenty of use! Mostess Creations specializes in designs for the modern homemaker – and they carry more than just these super absorbent quality bibs and burps! They have Mother Daughter Apron combo sets that would make a super cute gift to a friend or yourself - so you can host in style! Mary Michele Little, the designer, is a mom herself who understands the need to have a “quality absorbent” burp pad! She creates designs that are functional yet have a very modern flair. Best of all – everything is all handcrafted in the US too! Besides running Mostess Creations, Mary Michele Little also is the founder of one of my favorite Mom style blogs on the web! We even share and swap content with each other every week! Every weekend you can read posts on Classy Mommy from Mary Michele Little’s site, One Chic Mama – because motherhood doesn’t mean the end of style!
Thanks to Sweet Peas and Polka Dots for their set of luxuriously layered Assorted Sweet Peas Baby Note Cards. These cards are super versatile and could be used as note cards to complement shower gifts, send new parents best wishes or to thank friends and family for thoughtful baby gifts. Their cards are blank inside, so they are ready for anyone to personalize with their own special greeting.

Your Special Tee – This “I’m the Little Brother” Monkey tee is flirty and fun! I love it and can’t wait for Baby Boy to wear it next summer! Check out Your Special Tee to see all their fun personalized designs for the whole family – Brothers, Sisters, and even Cousins!

DaBib does it all! Mackenzie has already given this bib a test run for her baby brother! The scrunch collar keeps liquids from going under the bib and it has a catch all pocket for food along with a waterproof backing to keep baby dry and a soft terry front which is cozy and soaks up the liquids quick! This hip modern bib has even won the iParenting Media award!

NannyGram NannyGram sells gorgeous handmade baby gifts from a network of independent knitters in New England. I’ve reviewed this item in the past, and now they have sent me my very own NannyGram – complete with a baby blue sweater, knit hat and bootie set. Orders ship within days and are packaged beautifully along with a note from the gift giver. The knit hat and bootie set make a precious new baby gift or shower gift. The knitters use luxury fibers like cashmere blends and merino wool that are soft on babies skin - but can also be washed.

Bonnie’s StylePress As their tagline suggests, Bonnie's StylePress is where fashion meets paper. Founded by a Mom, this company turns ordinary paper into high style with their whimsical designs. Classy Mommy can't get enough of their Expecting With Style line. I’ve been a fan of their To Do Lists, Thank you cards, shower invites, and more for over a year! This paper is so trendy and fun- I can practically promise you’ll have no problems getting yourself to sit down and write a thank you note on this stationary! One of their latest products - and shower gift to me - is these trendy blue and brown “Expecting in Style” flip flops. I love them! Ideal for those swollen pregnant feet! You can also get them in pink and black.

Hanes sent a gift pack full of comfy and reliable goodies for the new baby that included 2 bibs, 3 onesies, and 4 short sleeve tees yellow, blue, grey and white! Check out their easy to use website full of a plethora of practical and super comfy clothing for the entire family. Trendy leggings for little girls and much more!

Her Majestee sent us two hip and glam tees from their collection. For Mackenzie we got a gorgeous Candy Cane Long Sleeve tee topped off with Swavorski crystals and wrapped in this gorgeous holiday Santa tin. You’ve got to consider these tees as a holiday gift – this Santa tin comes free with their holiday orders! For the new baby boy, we received a hip and stylish bright orange and white Rhino Tee. I love this style of casual and hip clothing for little boys – it is so much more “cool” than the puppy dogs or sport themed tees.

Silipads from Silikids
These hip kneepads are made of cotton with silicone pads to protect your little crawler's knees! The silipads size seems perfect as they are not too bulky - I will be anxious to use them next summer when my little boy is wanting to crawl all over the house and the driveway after his big sister!

Thank you Uncommonly Cute for sending us so many cool and hip tees for Mackenzie and the Baby Boy! Uncommonly Cute’s tees and onesies are irresistible baby clothes. The taglines on these tees and onesies are too cute! For the new baby boy they sent us 3 items - the “Copyright 2007” onesie, the Local Celebrity and the Rock Star tee in blue. For 2 year old Mackenzie they sent us 3 pink tees with these sayings – Diva, Big Sister, and Uncommonly Cute. I am now totally in love with this line of hip baby clothes created by a Mom, Allison Friedland, who put her MBA to very good use to create this fabulously cool line of baby clothing. Inspired by her daughter Sammy, Allison is” quite happy to be shaking things up in baby apparel, replacing conformity with individuality; cute with uncommonly cute.” Uncommonly Cute also supports Room to Grow and R Baby Foundation by donating a portion of their profits as well as merchandise to those cuties in need. And when you buy clothing at Uncommonly Cute through our links at Classy Mommy, another 10% of your purchase price will be donated via the Classy Mommy Cause to Project Peanut Butter.

KN Karen Neuburger Mommy & Me Pajamas
In celebration of National Family Literacy Day® held each year in November, the KN Karen Neuburger® lifestyle brand has teamed up with beloved children’s author Laura Numeroff (If You Give a Mouse a Cookie and the If You Give …™ book series, illustrated by Felicia Bond) to promote children’s literacy and raise funds for First Book®, a national children’s literacy organization that provides new books to children from low-income families.

This year, each Mommy & Me set of mouse-print pajamas is packaged with a copy of the celebrated book. Mackenzie loves this book so much and having PJ’s to match a bedtime story is a wonderful way to encourage the treasured tradition of reading your child a book before bed!

Time Out Spot gave us our very own Blue Time Out Spot for the baby boy and Mackenzie. This is going to come in totally handy immediately in our household. The Time Out Spot was designed by teacher turned mom, Heather Sievers who was seeking a solution to unsuccessful time outs - as Heather was inspired by her three year old son when their “time out spot” – a wooden stool - wasn’t working. So, this spot will fit the bill if a naughty step or corner just won't do the trick! They are also available in pink, blue, or tan.

The founder of the genius Time Out Spot went on to start another company called Nursery Rhyme Tease after successfully getting her Time Out Spots manufactured and marketed. Classy Mommy totally digs the concept behind Nursery Rhyme Tease – little tee shirts paired with nursery rhyme board books - which are designed to encourage our toddlers to both “read it and wear it”! Nursery Rhyme Tease sent a sweet brown “Wheels on the Bus” tee with matching board book for the new baby boy along with a Hot Pink “Wheels on the Bus” tee for big sister Mackenzie! Nursery Rhyme Tease are so hot they’ve been seen on Extreme Makeover Home Edition and on Jon & Kate Plus 8 on TLC.

Diaper Clutch
Diaper clutch sent us a fabulous brown and blue disco dot patterned clutch which is designed to conveniently hold both diapers and wipes – so I can either keep the diaper bag in the car to reduce all the baby gear I need to carry and/or easily pop this diaper clutch at the top of my diaper bag to eliminate me digging through my mess of a bag to find my wipes packet and a clean diaper!

This wet suit style warma is designed to be easy to get on and off while keeping arms and legs free so kids can learn to swim! It features 8 removable floats that allow for flexible buoyancy. The Konfidence Jacket is a great compliment to support swimming lessons for children and adults. Keep children safe in water and make swimming fun!

Thank you to Belmama & Cherub for sending me their marvelous invention, the Shower Hug. The founder and Mom, Ane, created the Shower Hug™ after having her first baby to ease the pain of sore, sensitive and uncomfortable breasts! I’ll be anxious to try out this contraption in the days following delivery! It is made out of the softest, most luxurious knit terry velour to provide both expectant and new moms with gentle bust line support and to soothe sensitive nipples and breasts associated with pregnancy and breastfeeding. There are many benefits of the shower hug, but for as I recall what beginning to breastfeed was like after having my daughter, I definitely think this will come in handy for me if I use it as a warm compress to soothe and ease engorgement as recommended as one of the many benefits of the Shower Hug.

Kaboodle Kids, who specializes in fashions from afar, sent us an African Adventures tee shirt for the new baby boy. This designer online boutique features unique South African children's clothes from Bug Zoo and Hooligans Kids. Congratulations on raising even more money for Project Peanut Butter!! I'd play the games but my first labor wasn't super quick, my belly is marred with stretch marks, my nursery is empty, and both my daughters were just a little above average size. So...I'll just say my preferences are the Kaboodle Kids and Hermajestee. They all look fantastic though.

Game #1-I was induced the day after my due date and ended up being 4 cm when I walked into the delivery room. My doctor broke my water and it was smooth sailing from there. I got my epidural 30 minutes later so I never felt contractions (it helps that I was a Labor and Delivery nurse at that hospital...I got "the treatment"). I was 10 cm 4 hours later, pushed for 1 hour, and had little E. So all in all it took 5 hours to have. Not bad for a 1st baby.
Game #4- My little guy was 8 lbs 13 oz.
My prize choices
Time out rug ( I could use this now!!!)
Little Stork Bag
Cute Sling
Neat Solutions

I love the site and all the gifts look great. What I thought was an easy labor of just over 7 hours from water breaking to delivery is much longer than a few who have already posted.

I have a niece who is delivering in Dec her first baby - Diaper Cakewalk, blessed mom's baby gear, cute slings or one chic mama.
Thanks

Aww, none of the shower games really apply to me. This is my first pregnancy, so I that knocks out two of them, and we don't have the money to afford anything for the nursery yet. At 5 months along, my bump is just barely coming in, but I guess I could still post a pic of it. The prizes I am really interested in are 23, 29, 8, and 25. I'm probably cheating, but enter me to win any of those prizes! They all look fabulous and you are a lucky Classy Mommy to be receiving them!

As far as labor stories go, I don't mean to brag, but my first child took less than 4 hours to deliver... starting from first contraction and water breaking to no epidural and only a few pushes before he was born. My advice - work out! Do lots of activities, water aerobics, whatever your body can handle. You can do it!

My first baby was born very quickly. I had Braxton hicks for days, but kept going in and no progress.
I woke up in the middle of the night in a little more pain, waited a bit, called the doctor, waited a bit, then finally went in. The pain still wasn't too bad. The worst part was the nausea.
Weren't the nurses surprised when they checked me and found out I HAD WALKED INTO THE HOSPITAL FULLY DILATED! WOW! 30 minutes of pushing and I was done. Best I can figure my labor was 4 hours, but I don't "officially" know when it started.

I like prizes #35, 44, 23, 43.
Thanks! This is fun!

Congratulations Colleen on a successful baby shower. The list of prizes is absolutely amazing! This is a true testament to the goodness of people willing to take the extra step for a GREAT cause!! Everyone involved should be proud!

I wish i was able to post my pictures...my first pregnancy was twins and my bump was surely a sight to be seen. I may have had the longest labor if you count going into labor at 30 weeks followed by two long stints in the hospital to "stop" labor, six long weeks on bedrest only to have an emergency c-section.

Thanks again for the opportunity to win some great prizes...I would love to receive any of the gifts posted but my top four favorites would be: #22, #27, #5, and #29.

Congrats on raising all this money for a good cause. Classy Mommy is a wonderful site with great reviews on must have products for mom and baby.

Game 1 - My son turned breech at week 36. My c-section was scheduled two days before my due date for 10am, but was I bumped for an emergency. My son was born at 1:52pm.

Game 2 - I don't know how to post a pic. I have pics of me in a bikini right at the end. I was all belly and beautiful.

Game 3 - Pic issue again... Nursery is modern, clean lines and can be modified for boy or girl. We created a specific room for a nursery. Then each child will "graduate" into another room. The closet is designed for a baby's needs. Could not live without it...We want more kids ;-)

Game 4 - My son weighed 8lbs. 7oz and 20 1/2"

I'd be thrilled to win any of the prizes!

Gifts: 13, 14, 21, 23, 29

game # 1- water broke with darrell @ 7 am in the morning, had him at 10:10am..that was including emergency surgery! at the last few contractions while pushing one of the nurses shoved a gas mask on me(i was going natural and she didnt know that-i am allergic to the gas)i started immediatly to throw up everywhere, causing darrell to pull back and he breeched .immediatly after he started out again with me gagging and he could not come out.his legs were tucked at his waist and he lodged up. all in all a quick delivery, but tough recovery for me.as the one lady sayed above, stay fit, healthy, and eat good,,it really helps!rita had to be born c section because of the problems above...

Well, first, Congratulations!
Second, thanks for the giveaways!
Third, I had a LONG labor and an average baby. He room is super cute - it is also in a jungle theme of sorts - not "real" obvious but a slight overall look - very muted.
As for my picks, I would agree that I would LOVE to win anything, but as always, if I had to pick, I would choose one of the following: The Neat Solutions Gift Pack b/c I'm a huge organizer, The Konfidence Jacket - I've heard great things about these, The Karen Neuberger Pajamas would also be great, and finally the Lisa Leonard jewelry - it is beautiful! Again, thanks!!

As a mom through adoption, my first labor was 2 1/2 months as we waited for our travel call after our referral. I had our son's picture memorized and would sit in his nursery in the rocking chair and make up new songs. We would test our phone several times a day as you never knew when "the call" would come. We rejoiced when signs of our labor progressing- our US visa arrived, our sons visa and passport was issued, someone who traveled to Korea for their daughter sent us new pictures and happened to see our son, but we got very boring towards the end as we waited for our travel call and then the glorious day arrived- 5 days later we were on a plane and 5 days later we were traveling back to the US with our new son!

Love the polkadot sling.

Game #1: My 2nd son was born this past August 15th, 2007. I stayed around the house with some severe cramping until I finally decided I was really in labor. Then when I finally got admitted into Labor in Delivery I was 5 cm. I was waiting for my epidural when I suddenly felt the urge to push (about 20 minutes after I had been checked and declared to be 5 cm). I hit the nurse call button and she checked me and said the baby was coming and it would be a natural delivery! I felt the urge to barf just thinking about a painful unmedicated birth, but I only pushed about 3 times and he was there! It was so fast and there was my baby! I still can't believe that happened to me.
Game #4-- This medication-free birth resulted in a 8 lbs, 11 oz baby. We just got weighed and at 9 weeks old he was 15 lbs, 2 oz, putting him in the 97th percentile. He is a healthy BIG breastfed baby! I'm impressed with his progress b/c his older brother has been 50th percentile his whole life!

I would like to win:
1) The Happy Panda gift certificate - I want to get my 2 boys some matching outfits!
2) The "My Baby Can Talk" sign language DVD's
3)The Deluxe Little Stork delivery bag
or
4) The Diaper Clutch!
5) Mom Spit!

May you have all of the medication your childbirth requires!

I just wanted to add that my baby Deacon, who I like to think of as "Deacon the Hut" since he is enormous, shares a room with me so we don't have a cute nursery photo to show off. And since he is the second born, I regret to say I only took one belly picture and it wasn't very impressive. But I might try to dig it up. :)

Well, I don't have my own blog ... so I'll enter here ... I want to play game #1

I had a sweet beautiful natural birth with our first... I was at the Dr.s for my appointment on Nov. 16th -- I was 40 weeks - they said I was 4 centimeters ... I got home about 5pm and starting complaining to my husband about a backache ... about 8pm the backache was really getting annoying so I decided to start timing it :) -- I was 3 minutes apart and I was starting to have a hard time talking thru the backaches :) so we headed to the hospital! We arrived at the hospital at 9pm and my contrax. stopped completely ... we went on up to labor and delivery and when the nurse saw me walking in she said there was NO WAY I was in labor but she would check anyway ... she checked and I was 9 centimeters -- ready to deliver! :) When I got up out of bed Contrax. started again and our little girl made her arrival at 10:35pm a healthy 7lbs.!!

My picks of the prizes would be ...
1.little stork gift certificate
2. cute slings
3.happy panda
4.chesapeake ribbons

Congrats on your new little one ... I hope you have a wonderful FAST delivery!

Thanks for letting us all enter the contests -- what fun!
