Go Diego Go! Moonlight Rescue – We are huge fans of Diego. 2 year old Mackenzie spends hours role playing as Alicia and Daddy or I pretend to be Diego as we rescue animals all throughout our house. We think Diego DVD’s are super ways to learn about animals from around the world like Leatherback Sea Turtles, Pumas, Tree Frogs, and more!
Super Why! – The animated PBS KID show is from one of the creators and visionaries behind Blue’s Clues. Mackenzie loves this series! It’s terrific and it’s all about inspiring a lifelong interest in and love for books among budding “Super Readers.” And it is available for the first time on DVD! ShopPBS.org for $14.99
Alvin and the Chipmunks: World Adventure & Alvin and the Chipmunks: Funny, We Shrunk the Parents – Mackenzie and I recently watched the just released Alvin and the Chipmunks Great Adventure (1987)on dvd. What a blast from the past! I remember loving Alvin and his pals when I was a little girl and it was so much fun to watch and especially hear Alvin’s cute quirky voice once again. Classy Mommy is currently giving away a bunch of these DVDS!
Hip Hop Harry: Move Those Feet - If your kids wanna be hipsters and like moving to the beat, the adorable yellow bear Hip Hop Harry, will teach them some dance steps in this release. My daughter adored it as she loves moving to the rhythm. Mom was a little less crazy about it as I don’t want her turning into Vanilla Ice – but I love that Hip Hop Harry had her moving and grooving so it’s all right with me!
Cloverfield – This movie, produced by J.J. Abrams is a pick for the Parents. We just watched it on Saturday for our “date” night movie at home. Only 82 minutes long so just right for the limited time in our schedules! We thought Cloverfield was a cross between War of the Worlds and the Blair Witch project. Frightening stuff!
