The response to the Classy Mommy "Big Give" to benefit a Mom impacted by Breast Cancer has been unbelievable. Thanks to my bloggy friends who posted to spread the word. I started Classy Mommy 18 months ago hoping to make a difference somehow. I truly believe even the littlest efforts - when they all add up - can make a big impact. At the end of the day, it seems the whole pay it forward thing really is true. One good thought or deed can often inspire others and before we know it all kinds of feel good stuff is happening.

We have received many beautiful and heartbreaking nominations for worthy moms who have been touched by breast cancer. It will be very difficult to choose 1 winner. I was explaining my predicament to the folks at Play Along Toys - who make tons of goodies us Moms are familiar with like Cabbage Patch Dolls, Care Bears, and more.

And what do you know? They offered to give us 4 Runner Up prizes. I couldn't be more thrilled at a big corporation helping out a regular mom trying to do good. Cause that is what this Big Give is really all about. So 4 extra Moms will be able to receive the brand new - soon to be released in September of 2008 - Care Bears Pink Power Bear. They are valued at $19.95. Next fall, when they are for sale, $1.00 will be donated to breast cancer research with each purchase. Together with the Care Bears, the power of caring is stronger than ever!

Hopefully, besides just brightening the day of a Mom impacted by breast cancer, this giveaway will also raise awareness about breast cancer and remind all us ladies we need to do self exams too.
