Classy Mommy Big Give Winner Announced
After pouring over many beautiful and heartbreaking nominations for the Classy Mommy Mother's Day Big Give, we've selected one super worthy Mama, Jill Nelson, who is currently battling breast cancer, as our "Big Give" winner. I wish I could give the $1200 prize pack to every Mom that was nominated for the Big Give - but I'm not Oprah - and had to select 1 winner.
Jill lives in Saugatuck Michigan and is the mother of 4. Her oldest daughter Kate is three years old and she also has a triplets too! The triplets, Andrew, Emily, and Benjamin will each turn 1 yr. in July. You can learn more about Jill's story and offer her support via her journal on her caring brige website here. Jill was diagnosed with Stage 2 Invasive Ductal Carcinoma on 4/14/08 and had a double mastectomy on 5/2/08.
Thanks to Graco, Care Bears, and the PR reps from Disney DVD's, we will also be recognizing many more equally worthy Moms who were nominated. I'll post on these nominees and share a bit of their stories and websites (if relevant) later this week. It is shocking how many young Moms are impacted by this awful disease. Thank you everyone for sharing these personal, touching, and heartfelt stories about your girlfriends, sisters, mothers, and wives battling breast cancer.

Thank you Colleen! This is so wonderful. Jill is a very classy mommy. She is confronting cancer with such grace and strength. It is truly inspiring, as a woman and a mom.
