1. Elmo
What baby doesn't love Elmo and all his friends from Sesame Street? This is a super fun theme with characters that everybody will surely recognize and enjoy. We threw Elmo themed 1st birthday parties for both Kenzie and Kyle. They were a total hit. And if you can get your hands on an adult Elmo costume so he can make a cameo visit to your 1st birthday party, the kids will be amazed. We were able to have Elmo visit Kenzie's party and it was incredible for her and all our guests. (Note: if you think your child is afraid of characters you might want to skip the Elmo visit. We knew Kyle was terrified of characters and strangers so we didn't borrow the costume as it would have terrified him!)

Celebrate your baby's 1st with Pooh and all his friends from the 100 Acre Wood! This is truly a timeless classic that your guests will definitely love.
For a trendy TV theme, pick Dora or Diego. Dora and Diego are popular with older kids as well as babies making it a great party theme. Create a game to get the kids involved like "Rescue an Animal" or go on a treasure hunt where all the kids get a simple map just like Dora and they can go on a mission to find their party favors or the birthday cake.
Celebrate with characters your baby and guests will surely recognize from their favorite Baby Einstein learning videos!
5. Farm Animals
You can't go wrong with friendly farm animals. The theme for my goddaughter's 1st birthday was farm animals and her Mom made an incredible Barn style cake with all kinds of animals peeping out. These cute, cartoon animals are sure to stimulate interest in all ages and make for fun party favors. Favors were awesome skinny plastic farm animals that were a hit with the kids. Thank you Oriental Trading Company! There are several different "farm animal" patterns to choose from if this one doesn't strike your fancy. They are often in stock at Target as well as all the online venues.
6. Mickey Mouse
Celebrate your little "mouseketeer's" first birthday with a fun Mickey Mouse theme that will definitely bring smiles to your guests.
7. Teddy Bears
Celebrate with your baby's best friend - their teddy bear! A simple, happy theme for you and your guests to enjoy.
8. Rubber Ducks
Toddlers love rubber ducks. They just can't get enough of those squeezable and lovable bright critters. Plus, they are super cheap to order in bulk from Oriental Trading Company and everyone will be able to go home with a few ducks of their own. Bright yellow duck decorations are cheery and bright - perfect for a 1st birthday party atmosphere!
9. Thomas
Thomas the Tank Engine is a great theme that you could really elaborate on with all the fun, train accessories to include. Your 1 year old's guests will surely appreciate the "choo choo" decor.
10. Jungle Animals
Babies and kids magically connect with animals. Here's another assortment of fun animals that one year olds will definitely enjoy partying with! You can take the theme as far as you'd like with music, decorations, or even a visit from the local Zookeeper!

I am doing an airplane themed party this Oct. will have to share pics after!
Nicholas loves Thomas the Tank and Elmo. It's wonderful.
Wonderful finds here! Also, I found something interesting I thought I would share…from something I wrote this month…
DÉCOR TIPS & QUIPS from AlphabetPIX.com
Bringing Out Your Inner BOLD!
Bill Blass said, “Style is primarily a matter of instinct.” Decorating takes on a new meaning for each individual. Clever and chic for Janie may be yesterday’s yawn-fest for Carol. Different tastes in décor mean different furniture, artwork and color palettes. So what is the rule of thumb for making your place zing if it’s not a certain style, pattern, or color?
Bold, baby! Bring on the bold!
Boldly say what you want to say when designing a room. Make a statement and let your personality shine through. If you go in for the palest blues to soothe and relax, add a custom zing to make it pop! Love black and white photography? Maybe even some of that ultra-hot photo alphabet wall art in black and white? Splash in some passionate pink or revved up red on the wall to make it sizzle.
No longer are walls content with neutral shades. Any color of the palette goes! Splash on muted melons or eccentric eggplants with savvy sage. Classic colors cozy up with velvety crimsons and Dijon yellows. Color is fantastically bold and beautiful! Rich textured throws, swags, rugs and runners jazz up every room, every time.
Patterns are all the rage now, too. Twists and twirls, paisleys and pearls-bold is key! Did you ever in a million years think of dotting stripes and striping dots? Designers these days are pulling out all the geometrical stops. Paisley mixes with all sorts of combinations-checks, polkas, and weathered solids. Discover a new way of looking at the world around you in different shapes and deigns.
Mix it all with gorgeous gilding in silver and gold. Toss in a few well-chosen accents-bold and beautiful. And with the trend of decor becoming more and more personalized, a meaningful piece of photography will make you feel right at home. Black and white as well as the historic look of sepia photography looks gorgeous in any room. Add all these ingredients together, and you’ve got yourself a decorating design that not only expresses your individual style but does so as personally and beautifully as you want it to.
Whatever you want to say while decorating, say it with your own personal sense of style. Put it out there for the world to see and don’t look back! Embrace your individuality whether your nature is “Janie jazzed” or “Carol calm”. Express yourself! When people enter your home they’ll shoot you a complementary smile, knowing it looks and feels sooooo perfectly like you. And no one can do YOU better.

Amp up that “you” factor, bringing the bright lights, bold city look to the forefront with clever photography of New York architecture and nature. And, if it’s gorgeous enough for your home, you KNOW personalized photo gifts are great for any occasion!
